Young people play a key role in accelerating climate action and driving change. They are agents of change, climate advocates, activists, entrepreneurs, and, most of all, innovators. Whether through technology, science, or education, youth apply their skills, passion, and unique experience to scale the efforts in advancing and implementing climate change solutions.

Young Climate Innovators (YCI) at Innovate4Climate

YCI is a platform for young professionals and students aged 18-35, organized by Innovate4Climate (I4C) in collaboration with the Connect4Climate Global Partnerships Program of the World Bank Group, and the Global Youth Climate Network, a volunteer initiative of the World Bank Group Youth-to-Youth Community, to learn and exchange ideas on their role in scaling-up climate action and climate-resilient recovery through intergenerational dialogue and peer-to-peer engagements focused on the themes of I4C. 

For the 2024 edition of YCI, I4C will seek to engage 50+ young professionals, and graduate-level students from around the world committed to careers in climate action, policy, and international development. The YCI event takes place on September 11th in Berlin, Germany. 

Participants will have the opportunity to

  • Network: Attending the YCI event will allow you to network with global climate leaders, World Bank experts, and private sector specialists from all over the world throughout the I4C programs. 
     
  • Share: Do you have an innovative idea, solution, or a new business proposal? At I4C we give you opportunities to present a pitch.
     
  • Exchange: Participate in discussions at Innovate4Climate.
